"Market" is the operator's posted reference for a bridged pair (median of public sources). It only ever sets the fee: when the pool has drifted from its market, the fee rises to √r − 1 so arbitrage pays LPs instead of taking from them. It never sets the price.

How the bridge works

2 · CreditAfter confirmations and one epoch, the mirrored asset is spendable here, privately.

3 · ExitBind a destination once, then withdraw; the operator pays it out at the end of the epoch.

A bridged asset's own fees build its pot. When the pot is worth more than the threshold, and the protocol holds that much ZEC.zy, a pool opens at exactly the market price and the protocol keeps the shares. Whoever filled the pot shares a grant of ZYN, vesting.
